Abstract:
A sequence of aircraft accidents has been analyzed using an Internet freely available database. By means of the Allan Factor (AF) statistics, time-clustering phenomenon was detected in the sequence, and this indicates that at certain timescales the time dynamics of the events is not Poissonian but long-range correlated.
