Abstract:
In this review, we discuss some of the recent developments in understanding various boundary induced phase transitions in asymmetric simple exclusion processes using boundary layer analysis. The boundary layer analysis is shown to be useful in gaining a lot of physical insights regarding the formation of shock, the critical point and the dual boundary transition.
