Quantum M-component spin glass with physically acceptable entropy

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2008, vol. 387, issue 12, 2661-2667

Abstract: We analyze the quantum version of an M-component spin-glass model that, in the limit M→∞, exhibits a positive entropy with the correct properties in the limit T→0. We generalize the model in the presence of a transverse field Γ by using a fermionic representation for the spin operators. We present results for the phase diagram Tc vs Γ, entropy and order parameters.
