Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2009, vol. 388, issue 2, 209-217

Abstract: Governing the simultaneous propagation of N fields in optical fibers and plasmas, the inhomogeneous N-coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations are, with symbolic computation, analytically investigated in this paper. As one of the important integrable properties, the explicit one- and two-solitonic solutions for the inhomogeneous N-coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations are derived using the bilinear method with illustrated graphics. Additionally, the Bäcklund transformation in bilinear form is constructed.
