Transport optimization of coupled flashing ratchets in viscoelastic media

Abstract: In the paper, we investigate the transport properties of coupled flashing ratchets in viscoelastic media. Using generalized Langevin equation, subvelocity Vα, subdiffusive coefficient Dα and generalized Peclet number Peα are calculated as functions of the temperature T and the flashing period τ with different subdiffusive exponents α. The results show that the transport of coupled flashing ratchets can be optimized in viscoelastic media.
