On physical principles and mathematical mechanisms of the phenomenon of irreversibility

A.Yu. Zakharov

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2019, vol. 525, issue C, 1289-1295

Abstract: It is shown that the retardation of the interactions between particles leads to a complete restructuring of the dynamics of a two-particle harmonic oscillator. The instability of dynamics with respect to the unavoidable retardation of the interactions is one of the causes of microscopic irreversibility.
