Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2019, vol. 527, issue C

Abstract: In this paper, we investigate a multigroup SIS epidemic model with standard incidence rates and Markovian switching. First of all, we establish sufficient conditions for extinction of the diseases. Then we obtain sufficient conditions for persistence in the mean of the diseases. In addition, in the case of persistence, we obtain sufficient conditions for the existence of positive recurrence of the solutions to the model by constructing a suitable stochastic Lyapunov function with regime switching.
