Abstract:
Nowadays, social media has increasingly become popular platforms for information dissemination and increasing incidents of cyber violence also have followed. In order to investigate the characteristics of cyber violence spreading and heterogeneity of online social networks, anSRCFE (susceptible–reader–commentator–forwarder–educatee) model is presented on scale-free networks. The spreading dynamics of cyber violence is analyzed in detail by using the mean-field theory. The basic reproductive number R0 is calculated by the next generation matrix method and two equilibriums are derived. The theoretical analysis indicates that the basic reproductive number depends mainly on the educated degree and the topology of the underlying networks. The relationships between the basic reproductive number and human cognitive behaviors are studied. Furthermore, the global stability of the cyber violence free equilibrium is proved. The permanence of cyber violence spreading and the global attractivity of cyber violence prevailing equilibrium are also studied in detail. Finally, numerical simulations confirm the analytical results.
