Abstract:
We study an inertial Brownian particle moving in a spatially-periodic symmetric potential under the influence of a time periodic and constant biasing driving force, and a Gaussian white noise. Within tailored parameter regimes, our results show: (i) the phenomenon of the absolute negative mobilities (ANMs) in different regimes of the constant bias, with the potential fluctuations that can diminish the ANMs and the vanishing of ANMs for larger potential fluctuations; and (ii) the multiple current reversals as a function of the constant bias, observed for smaller potential fluctuations.
