Peristaltic flow of a realistic fluid in a compliant channel

Maryiam Javed and R. Naz

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2020, vol. 551, issue C

Abstract: Goal of the present analysis is to explore the elastic wall effect on the peristaltic flow in an asymmetric channel. Formulation of the flow problem is based upon the constitutive equation of a Jeffrey fluid. Resulting problem is solved for a stream function and the peristaltic mean flow. The salient features of involved key parameters are also discussed.
