Abstract:
Directed transport of self-propelled particles with local attraction is numerically investigated in a two-dimensional confined channel. The local attraction plays a key role in the rectified transport. Particles can be rectified when the undirected mill is broken or disappears. By changing the attraction strength, multiple current reversals can be observed. Moreover, by restricting the field of vision of the particles and introducing the noise, the directed transport can be greatly enhanced. The translational noise promotes the directed transport, while the rotational noise suppresses the directed transport.
