Abstract:
We study by means of computational simulation and the finite-size scaling method, the critical behavior of the Biswas–Chatterjee–Sen continuous opinion dynamics on Apollonian networks. The main interest in this system comes from the fact that the Apollonian network is scale-free and has some characteristics that make it an approach to describe real processes. In addition, there is the fact that not all dynamics combined with Apollonian networks have a phase transition and a finite critical threshold. We show that the system presents a continuous phase transition driven by a random noise simulating the local oppositions. Through, it was possible to determine the critical exponent ratios 1∕ν=0.47(1),β∕ν=0.225(5), and γ∕ν=0.55(1) with deviating exponents from the Mean-Field regime on the random network.
