Epidemics a la Stauffer

Paulo Murilo Castro de Oliveira

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 2021, vol. 561, issue C

Abstract: Simulations of a SIR-like model for epidemics with spatial distribution and movements of agents lead to dynamic phase transitions when part of the whole population stay confined, isolated from others. The control parameter is the fraction C of confined individuals, the isolation index. The order parameters P are diverse probabilities related to the possible transfer of the infection from one group to the other.
