Optimal view angle of chiral particles on the two-dimensional Vicsek model

Abstract:
The study of chiral particles has important implications for understanding the clustering behavior of biomolecules. In this paper, we investigate the optimal view angle of chiral particles on the two-dimensional Vicsek model. From the numeric simulations, it is shown that the optimal view angle of the particles decreases with the increase of chirality. It is not that the more the average number of neighbors, the faster the particle swarm system will reach order, but that the faster the average number of neighbors reaches stability, the less time it takes for the particle swarm to reach order. Moreover, at the same chirality, the optimal view angle of the particles decreases as the density of particles increases. As the interaction radius increases, the optimal view angle increases. Our results provide first-hand information or references in a manner suitable for the study of optimal view angles for chiral particles. It also improves the collective motion characteristics of chiral self-propelled particles, and may be used to understand and design rotating microflocks.
