Abstract: With the surge of traffic flux, the road flux limit method is emerging as an important traffic control measure that can affect the dynamic evolution of traffic. Therefore, a novel lattice hydrodynamic model is provided by integrating the flux limit effect (FLE) in a two-lane system under V2X environment. Linear stable analysis is executed to get the stability condition concerning the FLE on two lanes, which means that the FLE can expand the stable scope under lane change. Furthermore, numerical simulation is carried out to investigate the FLE on the density waves and fuel consumption and pollution emissions in a two-lane system, which implies that the FLE raises traffic stability and cuts down fuel consumption and pollution emissions in the case of lane change.
