Abstract: We analyze the phase diagram of the spin-3/2 Blume–Capel model on a square lattice using the mean-field approximation based on the Bogoliubov inequality. The system includes a random transverse crystal field, characterized by the probability distribution PΓi=12δΓi−Γ1+α+δΓi−Γ1−α. The phase diagrams have been represented in the (Γ/J,T/J) and (Δ/J,T/J) planes for fixed values of Δ/J and Γ/J, respectively, assuming a coordination number z=4 with various values of α. The model reveals both first- and second-order phase transitions, as well as several critical phenomena, including the tricritical point (TCP), multicritical point (MCP), critical end point (CEP), zero temperature point (ZTP), and bicritical point (BCP). Additionally, one and two reentrant behaviors are identified. The results align well with findings reported in recent literature.
