Zur Begründung der Klimontovichnäherung

H. Kagermann

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1975, vol. 83, issue 3, 595-608

Abstract: The method of Y.L.Klimontovich is explained by a perturbation expansion technique concerning an appropriate norm determined by the considered physical problems. It can be demonstrated, that the approximations of Klimontovich are equivalent with those used by N. Rostoker who treats the BBGKY-hierarchy. Substituting a term of a suitable delta sequence for the delta function the fluid limit is realized. In this way the range, where the Klimontovich approximation fails, can be determined. Thus the Balescu-Lenard collision term doesn't diverge and vanishes in the limit of great wave vectors.
