Abstract:
Analytical and numerical results are obtained for the first three approximations to the transport coefficients of a simple gas consisting of massive particles with constant differential cross section. The complete temperature regime is studied, while special attention is paid to both the weakly-relativistic and the ultra-relativistic limiting cases. The behaviour of the successive approximations indicates that the series for the transport coefficients converge in a satisfactory way over the whole temperature range.
