Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1977, vol. 86, issue 3, 513-534
Abstract:
The microscopic theory of hydrodynamical and relaxation processes in cholesteric liquid crystals is developed from first principles based on the methods of modern nonequilibrium statistical thermodynamics. A statistical description is given of orientational deformation, orientational order and relaxation of orientational order.
