The boundary layer behavior of angular momentum polarizations in polyatomic gases

G.E.J. Eggermont, L.J.F. Hermans, J.J.M. Beenakker and H. Vestner

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1978, vol. 91, issue 3, 365-376

Abstract: A qualitative picture is given of the profiles of angular momentum polarizations in a rarefied polyatomic gas that transports heat or momentum between parallel plates. The behavior of the polarizations near the boundary is characterized in terms of accomodation and reflection coefficients.
