Effective potentials and the study of phase transitions

S.W. Lovesey

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1978, vol. 91, issue 3, 625-630

Abstract: Results are presented for an effective potential for the n-component linear σ-model and the Ginzburg-Landau model of superconductivity. Effects due to fluctuations in the order parameter are accounted for order-by-order in the temperature.
