The role of surface Frenkel excitons in low-energy-electron diffraction theory for molecular crystals

R. Nuyts and P. Phariseau

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1978, vol. 94, issue 3, 486-494

Abstract: In this paper a low-energy-electron diffraction theory for a molecular crystal is presented. The influence of the surface Frenkel excitons on the intensity of the (00) beam is studied for a crystal with a special structure. The general case will be treated in a subsequent paper.
