Measurements of depolarization ratios and polarizability anisotropies of gaseous molecules

F. Baas and K.D. van den Hout

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1979, vol. 95, issue 3, 597-601

Abstract: Values for the depolarization ratio (ϱTV) of Rayleigh scattered light are reported for a large number of gas molecules. When possible, the results are combined with refractive index data to yield the anisotropy in the optical polarizability.
