Computer simulations of a rough sphere fluid II comparison with stochastic models

Abstract:
Three simple stochastic models for orientational correlation functions are discussed: The J-diffusion model, the cumulant expansion and the stochastic Liouville equation are compared with the computer experiments for partially rough hard spheres. Although no model gives an accurate description for all densities and times, the stochastic Liouville equation is the most satisfactory.
