Kinematical interaction of excitons and Davydov splitting

R. Maksimović, M.J. Škrinjar and B.S. Tošić

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1979, vol. 97, issue 1, 163-172

Abstract: The molecular crystal with a complex lattice is analysed for low as well as high exciton concentrations. It was shown that apart from normal exciton levels the same number of kinematical levels exist in the system. The kinematical levels are shifted with respect to the normal levels and consequently, have the same splitting. The order parameter of the system at high concentrations is determined.
