Abstract:
This paper presents principles and algorithms for building a real-time scheduler. The objective is to coordinate en-route air traffic movements using combinatorial approaches. Coordination helps ensure that two aircraft do not operate independently in a way, which could extend or intensify a conflict. The primary objective of the scheduler is to coordinate air traffic conflicts by taking account of uncertainties regarding aircraft speeds.
