Abstract:
Recently, Sarker and Kindi [2006a. Optimal ordering policies in response to a discount offer. International Journal of Production Economics 100 (2), 195-211] presented an inventory model from the purchaser's perspective, to determine the optimal ordering policies in response to a discount offer established by the supplier for five possible cases. This study presents some practical extensions to the optimal ordering policies developed by Sarker and Kindi [2006a. Optimal ordering policies in response to a discount offer. International Journal of Production Economics 100 (2), 195-211].
