A vision of a sustainable energy future

Anna Stanford

Renewable Energy, 1997, vol. 10, issue 2, 417-422

Abstract: There is a need to move towards a sustainable energy policy with the objectives of environmental protection, sound natural resource management and energy security. Opportunities exist for the increased development of renewable energy and energy efficiency through regulation, changes to institutional and economic arrangements, and through liberalisation of the energy market, which offers the potential for the development of Energy Service Companies and a market for ‘green’ electricity.
