Abstract:
A comparison is made of the optical properties and electrochromic performance of two types of electrochromic device for use as variable transmission glazing. The devices employ respectively amorphous tungsten oxide and crystalline tungsten oxide as the active electrochromic layer. Both devices exhibit pronounced transmission modulation. Some measure of reflectance modulation is observable for the crystalline tungsten oxide device.
