The role of renewable energy in Iran

Abstract: A new system of energy based on renewables is important for human sake. For broad and sustainable development, research, innovation and technology transfer is vital. Studies show there exist a great potential for renewables especially, solar energy in Iran. In long term development program around 1000 MW Solar thermal power plant is to be installed. It is admitted that there are some barriers needed to be romoved in the process.
