Strategies for promotion and development of renewable energy in Malaysia

K.S. Kannan

Renewable Energy, 1999, vol. 16, issue 1, 1231-1236

Abstract: Due to relatively abundant supply of fossil fuels in Malaysia, there has been inadequate attention and resource allocation for renewable energy resources. Among the various renewable energy sources available the major consumption is from biomass. Biomass has the greatest potential which could be tapped by utilisation of efficient technology. The benefits of promoting renewable energy and strategies for its development is elaborated.
