Abstract:
The research results and practical experiments obtained in the past twenty years in Europe show that the use of flat solar collectors in the drying processes has a large potential and enables to achieve a reduction of fuel consumption. Constructing solar dryers brings also a number of advantages to farmers themselves and to the agricultural sector, rural communities and natural environment. Therefore, the stimulators of the market development are not only the direct economic advantages but also the social needs defined on the local level.
