Renewable Energy, 1991, vol. 1, issue 2, 211-217

Abstract: A ray-tracing technique is used here in order to compute the overall transmission, reflection and absorption of composite layers. Formulae for these optical properties and their components of transparent cover systems are derived in this paper. The obtained formulae are applicable to any number of parallel, transparent, absorbing or non-absorbing cover plates. Detailed calculations are done for N-element cover system where N reaches 6. The obtained results in this work are compared with those available in the literature.
