Abstract:
By using the solar radiation data of Turkish State Meterological Organisation, three characteristic insolation regions in Turkey are defined. To determine the electrical energy demands an electric energy consumption scenario is prepared and applied for the characteristic regions. To meet the calculated energy demands the sizing of photovoltaic systems are made depending on the ambient temperature and the radiation intensity. A comparison between grid extension and photovoltaic system is made on the conclusion.
