Abstract:
The performance of a two channel solar air collector with perforated first absorber plate is discussed. The transient equations, written by considering the energy balance for every individual component of the air collector, are solved explicitly. The effect of some of the design parameters are discussed. The mentioned design is investigated experimentally. It was found that there is a strong relationship between collector efficiency and first absorber plate thickness, holes density and dimensions.
