Abstract:
In the current paper, a novel portable solar-based poly-generation system is proposed and it is experimentally investigated. The system is consisted of photovoltaic panels, evacuated solar collector, vapor compression refrigeration, and desalination section. Total power consumption of cooling cycle, heating cycle, HDH desalination cycle and RO desalination cycle is measured equal to 330 W, 70 W, 36 W and, 36W, respectively. Photovoltaic panels could supply 471 W electricity and the compressor uses the most produced power. 16.5 L distillated water per hour could be supplied by the system, also. Excess electricity and heat are stored during the day to guarantee continues operation of the system. Unique electronic boards are applied in the facility and several sensors are used to evaluate the operation of different sub-systems. Wireless sensor data acquisition and control monitoring are used according to the energy demand.
