Abstract:
Harmonic models were computed using mean monthly average daily values of global irradiation for seven stations in Oman. Pertinent amplitudes and phase angles have been obtained for each station. The results show the dominance of the first two harmonics in the southern stations, Salalah and Marmul and the dominance of only the first harmonic in the north, Buraimi and Seeb. There is near perfect fit of the data by only one or two harmonics for almost all the stations. Typical equations are suggested for the north and south of Oman.
