A cascaded inverter for transformerless single-phase grid-connected photovoltaic systems

Renewable Energy, 2001, vol. 22, issue 1, 255-262

Abstract: The design and control issues associated with the development of a 1.8 kW prototype single-phase grid-connected photovoltaic system incorporating a multilevel cascaded inverter are discussed in this paper. For the current controller a ramptime zero average current error control algorithm combined with an optimised cyclic switching sequence is suggested. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the suitability of the control method.
