Sun irradiance and local breeze parametric approach by statistical method

Rodolfo Guzzi

Renewable Energy, 1992, vol. 2, issue 2, 191-194

Abstract: Parameterized formulas of sun irradiance and local breeze are often used in the absence of measurements. However, discrepancies arise when measurements and the results of the algorithms are compared. In order to overcome this problem we propose a technique, based on statistical analysis, to obtain proper parameterization of local effects of sun irradiance and breeze. This technique, applied to experimental data measured in mountain sites of Italy, shows that it is possible to obtain parameterizations tuned to the local data sets which give more realistic results.
