Abstract:
A computationally efficient high-level model has been developed for simulating indirect thermosyphon solar energy water heaters. The model was used to study the characteristics of hot water stores under steady-state and “real” operating conditions. The results indicate that the degree of stratification in a hot water store is correlated with the ratio of collector to load volume flow.
