Abstract:
In order to promote the sustainable growth of renewable energies in the German heat market, strong political impulses equivalent to the German Renewable Energy Sources Act for the electrical power market and the exemption of biodiesel from the German petroleum tax for the fuel market are required. The requirements on and possible designs of a Renewable Heat Sources Act to meet this need are presented and discussed.
