Effect of direction on wind speed estimation in complex terrain using neural networks

P. López, R. Velo and F. Maseda

Renewable Energy, 2008, vol. 33, issue 10, 2266-2272

Abstract: A method of estimating the annual average wind speed at a selected site using neural networks is presented. The method proposed uses only a few measurements taken at the selected site in a short time period and data collected at nearby fixed stations.
