Abstract:
This paper deals only with the first set of experiments for the investigation of the potential of the evaporative cooling techniques. The experiment is intended to identify comfort enhancement potential of evaporative cooling through windtower by the supply of cooled air into the rooms directly from air outlets or indirectly through the ducts. For the evaluation of the comfort conditions in the rooms Fanger PMV (Predicted Mean Vote) as a function of dry bulb temperature, wet-bulb temperature, air velocity and mean radiant temperature (globe temperature) has been calculated for each hour and recorded during the experiments. All ambient weather components are displayed for the experiment period to evaluate the performance of the evaporative cooling techniques used in the test house.
