Abstract:
The concept of sustainable development has got wide attention since the publication of the so-called Brundtland Report in 1987. One of the main elements in this concept is to establish a sustainable energy sector. This was already pointed out in the Brundtland Report in general terms. However, very few detailed studies have been carried out in order to analyse the specific conditions for a sustainable energy development.
