Abstract:
Synthetic ester transformer fluid has the ability to substantially reduce the risk associated with operational on/off-shore transformers. In comparison to alternative dielectrics such as cast resin, silicone fluid and natural ester, synthetic ester has proven to be the most suitable transformer dielectric. This paper presents evidence to support these claims.
