Abstract:
The estimations of monthly averages of daily global radiation on tilted surfaces, inclined at various azimuth angles towards the equator, are carried out for three locations chosen to represent typical climatic regions in Croatia, and the results are analyzed. Long term records of measurements of global irradiation on horizontal surfaces, as well as regionally modified correlations for sky-diffuse radiation are used in these calculations. The importance of using regionally modified correlations is established. The optimum tilt and azimuth angle for winter and summer periods as well as for annual collection is determined. Total annual radiation values are presented for several slopes and orientations.
