Abstract:
Spatial distribution of wind velocity is investigated for a traditional house placed through the trade-winds in Guadeloupe. The real scale experiment is compared with a 150 scale model placed in a boundary layer wind tunnel. Mean velocity and mean turbulence dimensionless coefficients are measured for several inlet and outlet areas and locations. A linear correlation between these two coefficients is found. A linear correlation between the real scale and the wind tunnel experiments is also found.
