Abstract:
Conventional wind generators operating in widely fluctuating wind regimes suffer from low energy conversion efficiencies. In this paper a relatively simple scheme is described for increasing the power output of small wind-driven alternators at low wind speeds. Practical details of the implementation of the scheme are given, along with test results and economic justification.
