Abstract:
Carrier lifetime (τ) and back surface recombination velocity (S) are determined from transient measurements with solar cells in open circuit voltage conditions. A detailed analysis of the theory of a new experimental practice is given. The cell is illuminated at any injection level and all recombination processes are considered. The sensitivity in this determination is shown to decrease for high values of both, (τ) and S.
