Abstract:
Twyford CE High School has an ongoing research project developing CdS-CdTe thin film solar cells. Using a wet dip process, cells of 10% efficiency (over 1 cm2) are fabricated, with 75% of the cells made reaching this efficiency. The school has used its contacts formed during this work with academic and commercial institutions in the Community to develop an international curriculum project, which is described here.
